Cooper Repco Ltd was set up by Rob Flavin in early 2009 to provide communications services to companies and individuals active in the science, technology and innovation sectors.
Rob is an IT and statistics graduate with twenty years experience in research and communications. He worked for sixteen years for the Natural Environment Research Council where he was co-author of the first flood risk map of the United Kingdom. He appeared regularly on local, national and international news programmes providing comment on floods and droughts. His written work ranged from manuals and reports, to articles that promoted the public-understanding of science. In 2002 he attended the World Summit in Johannesburg and, in the following year, he coordinated the UK activities for the UNESCO International Year of Freshwater.
In 2004 Rob was made Executive Director of the Royal Microscopical Society. At that time, the Society was perceived (wrongly) by many to be an historical, backward looking organisation. It is now seen as being at the forefront of microscopical science. Rob achieved this through powerful and consistent communications.
Since 2009, Cooper Repco has helped large and small organisations - from technology startups to Government Research Councils - to improve the way that they communicate. Contact us to discuss how we can work together to achieve the same.
